PAPERS TRANSFERRED FROM JOURNALS

Papers transferred from journals are presented in oral, regular sessions, exclusively devoted to journal papers, in the first two days of the conference and in a few tracks of the 3rd morning.

LATE-BREAKING RESULTS

Late Breaking Results are presented in the last teaser and interactive sessions on Friday, 18 October 2024, in the afternoon.

IROS 2024 SUBMISSIONS

If your paper is an IROS 2024 submission, in the acceptance letter you were informed whether your paper is accepted as oral presentation or oral pitch and interactive presentation.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Oral presentations are allotted 15-minute slots in oral regular sessions of 1 hour; please, plan to speak for 12 minutes and allow 3 minutes for questions and answers. A template for your slides is available here: https://iros2024-abudhabi.org/assets/IROS2024-Presentation-temp.pptx .

Please be at the session room 5 minutes before the start time. As soon as the previous session ends, introduce yourself to the session chairs, and sit in the front row.

You are allowed to use your own laptop, but you are warmly recommended to test your connection and projection in the speakers’ preview room in advance. A PC is available in the session room if you need it. In that case, please prepare your presentation in a USB drive and upload it in your session room PC between 8:00 and 9:00 for morning sessions, or between 13:00 and 14:00 for afternoon sessions.

ORAL PITCH PRESENTATIONS

Oral pitch presentations will be 3 minute long with no questions and answers, held in teaser sessions lasting 1 hour.

Please be at the session room 15 minutes before the start time, introduce yourself to the session chairs, and line up with the other speakers, as directed. Please prepare your presentation in a USB drive for upload in the room PC.

INTERACTIVE PRESENTATIONS

Following your teaser session, you will also present your work with a poster in a 2-hour interactive session. The poster area is located just outside room 1-12. Poster stands will be numbered after your paper code from the teaser session (e.g., the poster stand for paper code TuPIT10.2 in the teaser session will be labelled 10.2).

Please proceed with setting up your poster between 8:00 and 9:00 for morning sessions, or between 13:00 and 14:00 for afternoon sessions.

The poster size must not exceed A0 portrait format (840mm × 1100mm or 2.76 ft wide × 3.61 ft high). You are responsible for printing your poster and bringing double-sided tape to affix it to the board. Please ensure that you remove your poster after the session.

Each poster stand provides space for a poster and a small shelf where you can place a laptop, tablet, or demo for interactive content. Please note there will be no power supply, so ensure any devices are fully charged beforehand beforehand.

The maximum dimension of the poster panel is 37” wide x 82” high (0.95m wide x 2.1m high) though we suggest not exceeding 35” wide x 59” high (0.9m wide x 1.5m high).

There is no required template for the posters, so please choose the design that best presents your research work. Please use the IROS 2024 logos available here: https://iros2024-abudhabi.org/brand-identity.

Volunteers and Event Staff will be available to assist you in the presentation rooms and in the poster area.
